Country-style ribs
Ingredients/Components
- packed brown sugar - 1/2 c
- oleo - 1 Tbsp
- lemon juice - 1 Tbsp
- dry mustard - 1/2 tsp
- clove garlic, minced - 1 item
- Worcestershire sauce - 2 Tbsp
- chopped onion - 1/3 c
- catsup - 1/2 c
- chili sauce - 1/4 c
- apple cider vinegar - 1/2 c
- spareribs - 3 4
How to make country-style ribs:
Place spareribs in 4 to 6-quart Dutch oven. Add enough salted water to cover; bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer, covered, for 1 hour or until ribs are tender. Drain. Place in a 13 x 9-inch pan. Heat oven to 300°.In a medium skillet, saute onion in oleo. Stir in remaining ingredients and cook until heated through. Pour sauce over ribs. Bake at 300° for 30 minutes, basting occasionally. Yields 4 servings.
