Ingredients/Components

  • brown sugar - 2 Tbsp
  • cooking oil - 1 Tbsp
  • applesauce - 1 c
  • garlic powder - 1 tsp
  • pepper - 1/2 tsp
  • caraway seed - 2 tsp
  • medium onion, chopped - 1 item
  • pork ribs - 2 lb
  • can sauerkraut undrained - 1 item

How to make country pork and sauerkraut:

In a Dutch oven, cook ribs and onion in oil until ribs are browned and onion is tender. Remove from heat. Combine remaining ingredients and pour over the ribs. Cover and bake at 350° for 1 1/2 to 2 hours or until ribs are tender. Yields 4 servings.
