Ingredients/Components
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- sage to taste - 1 item
- medium size onion - 1 item
- medium size potatoes, cut up - 3 item
- or 5 stalks or more celery - 4 item
- 10-inch pans cornbread - 2 item
- turkey or chicken with broth - 1 item
How to make cornbread dressing:
Fry celery, onions, cut-up potatoes, sage, salt and pepper. Simmer 35 to 40 minutes. Add broth as you are simmering.Combine mixture with crumbled cornbread in pan. Stir until moist. Add turkey or chicken, then bake at 400° for 35 to 40 minutes or until dressing starts to brown around edges.
