- sugar - 1/4 c
- eggs - 2 item
- milk - 1 c
- salt - 3/4 tsp
- flour - 1 c
- baking powder - 4 tsp
- shortening - 1/4 c
- yellow cornmeal - 1 c
How to make corn bread:
Sift flour with sugar, baking powder and salt. Stir in cornmeal. Add eggs, milk and shortening. Beat with rotary or electric beater until just smooth.
