- sugar - 3 c
- eggs - 5 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 3 c
- baking powder - 1/2 tsp
- shortening - 1/2 c
- sticks butter - 2 item
- sweet milk - 1 c
How to make cold oven pound cake:
Cream together butter, shortening and sugar. Add 5 eggs, one at a time, blending well after each addition. Add flour, blending well after each cup. Add milk, salt, baking powder and vanilla. Stir well. Put into greased and floured tube cake pan. Place in cold oven and turn to 325° for 1 1/2 hours.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Low sodium.
