Ingredients/Components
- pepper - 1 tsp
- clove garlic - 1 item
- can milk - 1 item
- oregano - 1 tsp
- carrots - 3 item
- parsley - 1 Tbsp
- celery - 1 c
- potatoes, diced - 3 item
- slices bacon - 5 item
- large onion - 1 item
- flour to thicken - 1 item
- chopped clams - 1 pt
How to make clam chowder:
Finely chop bacon, then fry. Remove bacon from drippings and set aside. Chop onion and garlic; fry until tender in bacon fat. In a large saucepan, heat clam juice with enough water to make 3 quarts of liquid, diced potatoes, diced celery, sliced carrots, onion, garlic, seasonings and clams. Add flour to thicken.To Serve: Pour a little canned milk in soup bowl, then add clam chowder. Sprinkle bacon on top.
