  • eggs - 2 item
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • soda - 1 tsp
  • buttermilk - 2/3 c
  • sifted flour - 4 c
  • raisins - 1 c
  • pecans
  • sticks butter - 2 item
  • candied cherries - 1 c
  • dates - 2 c
  • brown sugar, packed in cup - 2 c

How to make christmas cookies:

Sift flour; measure. Sift again with salt and soda. Cream butter. Add sugar and eggs. Beat until light and fluffy. Add milk alternately with flour. Add nuts and fruit. Chill. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto a greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350° for 8 to 10 minutes.
