Ingredients/Components
- cornstarch - 2 Tbsp
- water - 1/2 c
- oil - 2 Tbsp
- soy sauce - 2 Tbsp
- can sliced water chestnuts - 1 item
- green onions - 1/2 c
- bean sprouts - 1 lb
- sliced celery
- can beef broth - 1 item
- small jar sliced mushrooms - 1 item
- round steak, cut into small pieces - 1 lb
How to make chow mein:
Brown steak in oil. Add soy sauce, broth and mushrooms. Simmer 30 minutes. Add celery, onions and water chestnuts. Cook 20 minutes and add bean sprouts. Bring to a boil. Mix water and cornstarch together. Stir into mixture and cook until thickened. Serve over rice or chow mein noodles.Recipe categories: < 60 mins, Time to make.
