Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- vanilla extract - 1 tsp
- butter - 2 Tbsp
- light corn syrup - 1 Tbsp
- sq - 2 oz
- milk, scalded - 2/3 c
How to make chocolate fudge:
Melt chocolate in milk. Add sugar and corn syrup. Cook slowly, stirring until sugar dissolves. Bring to boiling; cover and cook 3 minutes. Uncover and cook to soft ball stage (236°), stirring frequently. Remove from heat; add butter and cool to lukewarm (110°) without stirring. Add vanilla and beat vigorously until very thick and no longer glossy. Quickly spread in a greased pan. When firm, cut in squares. Makes 2 dozen pieces.Recipe categories: Desserts, Candy, Fudge.
