Chinese fried rice
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- cooking oil - 2 Tbsp
- pepper - 1/2 tsp
- soy sauce - 2 Tbsp
- medium onion, chopped - 1 item
- eggs, slightly beaten - 2 item
- cooked shrimp - 2 c
- cooked rice - 4 c
- sauteed sliced mushrooms - 2 c
How to make chinese fried rice:
Heat oil in a heavy skillet. Add onions and cook until light brown. Add shrimp (cut in half if large). Add salt and pepper to eggs. Add mushrooms. Scramble together. Add cold rice and cook until rice is coated with egg and hot.Ham, chicken or turkey can be used instead of shrimp. Serves 4 to 6.
