Chinese egg rolls
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 tsp
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- cornstarch - 2/3 c
- egg, slightly beaten - 1 item
- water
- all-purpose flour
- cooking oil - 1 Tbsp
- beaten eggs - 2 item
- soy sauce - 1 tsp
- onion - 1/4 c
- bean sprouts - 1/2 c
- cooked shrimp - 1/4 c
- celery - 1/4 c
- cooked pork - 1/2 c
- drained water chestnuts - 1/4 c
How to make chinese egg rolls:
Finely chop first 5 ingredients. Drain bean sprouts. Combine chopped ingredients, bean sprouts and the next 5 ingredients in a bowl. Chill. Prepare batter for egg rolls. In a mixing bowl, sift together flour, cornstarch and salt. Combine 2 beaten eggs and water; gradually blend into dry ingredients. Beat until smooth. Reserve 1/2 cup batter for sealing egg rolls.
