  • milk - 3 Tbsp
  • paprika - 1 tsp
  • pepper - 1 item
  • medium onion - 1/2 item
  • carrots - 2 item
  • garlic clove - 1 item
  • poultry seasoning - 1 item
  • celery stalks - 2 item
  • bag frozen peas - 1/2 item
  • pie shell - 1 item
  • whole chicken legs or 1 whole breast - 3 item
  • can Progresso mushroom soup - 1 item
  • parsley flakes or 2 Tbsp - 1 Tbsp
  • basil or 2 Tbsp - 1 Tbsp

How to make chicken pot pie:

Preheat oven to 375°. Sprinkle chicken with poultry seasoning. Bake for 45 minutes to one hour or bake in microwave until cooked through. Put in freezer for about 15 minutes or until cool enough to handle. While chicken is cooking, chop celery and onion. Cube carrots and crush garlic.

Pull chicken off the bone. Put in large pot with soup, veggies and spices. Stir slowly. Add milk, constantly stirring. Cook for about 30 minutes.

Pour into deep ovenproof bowl (1-quart Corning Ware is fine). Top with pie shell. Cut steam slits in pie shell and bake for 20 to 30 minutes or until pie shell is cooked.
