Ingredients/Components
- buttermilk
- self-rising flour
- can cream of chicken soup - 1 item
- chicken broth - 2 c
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- can water - 1/2 item
- or 3 boiled eggs - 2 item
- fryer, boiled and deboned dispose of skin, too - 1 item
How to make chicken pot pie:
Mix soup and water, pour over chicken pieces in baking pan (9 x 12-inch). Slice boiled eggs on top (can substitute a can of Veg-All, drained). Mix flour and buttermilk together and pour over chicken. Over this, pour 2 cups chicken broth. Bake at 350° for 1 hour. Feeds 8.Recipe categories: Casseroles, One Dish meal, Savory pies.
