Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- butter - 1 c
- chopped nuts optional - 1 c
- corn syrup
- cream - 2 c
How to make caramels:
Boil sugar, corn syrup, butter and half of the cream. Stir in remaining cream while candy is boiling. When candy forms a firm ball in cold water, add vanilla and nuts. Put in buttered pan. When cool, cut into small squares.Recipe categories: Desserts, Candy, American.
