Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- water - 1/2 c
- zest of 1 orange*
How to make candied orange peel:
Simmer sugar, water and zest of 1 orange until thickened. When peel is well glazed, separate and let cool on wax paper. Works equally well with lemon*Zest is the thin, outer peel of the fruit with none of the white pulp. Cut from firm, clear skinned fruit with a sharp paring knife or a potato peeler.
