Calico baked beans


Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- butter or margarine - 2 Tbsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- brown sugar - 1/2 c
- molasses - 2 Tbsp
- pepper - 1/2 tsp
- chili powder - 3/4 tsp
- ketchup - 1/4 c
- prepared mustard - 2 Tbsp
- ground beef - 1 lb
- large onion, chopped - 1 item
- barbecue sauce - 1/4 c
- canned pork and beans - 28 oz
- bacon, cooked, drained, cut in 1-inch pieces - 1 lb
- each: drained kidney beans, white beans and black beans - 16 oz
How to make calico baked beans:
In large skillet, brown beef and onion in butter; drain well. Place in large casserole with bacon. In medium bowl, combine sugar, brown sugar, ketchup, barbecue sauce, mustard, molasses, chili powder, salt and pepper; mix well. Add kidney, white, black and pork and beans to casserole. Pour sugar mixture on top; blend well.Cover casserole and bake in preheated 350° oven for 45 minutes; uncover casserole and bake additional 15 minutes.
