Butterscotch brownies
Ingredients/Components
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- chopped pecans - 1 c
- packed brown sugar - 2 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 2 c
- eggs, beaten - 2 item
- baking powder - 2 tsp
- shortening - 1/2 c
How to make butterscotch brownies:
Cream shortening and brown sugar in bowl until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Reserve 1/4 cup flour. Sift remaining flour, baking powder and salt together. Add to creamed mixture; mix well. Coat pecans with reserved flour. Stir into mixture. Press into greased 9 x 13-inch pan. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.
