Ingredients/Components
- flour - 1 c
- stick butter - 1 item
- chicken broth - 2 qt
- onion, chopped - 3/4 c
- carrots, peeled and sliced - 4 c
- celery, diced - 1 c
- diced chicken - 2 lb
- bag frozen peas - 1 item
- potatoes, peeled and sliced - 4 c
- diced pork - 2 lb
How to make brunswick stew:
In kettle, cook vegetables until partly done. Drain. In a large kettle, melt butter. Stir in flour to make paste. Gradually add chicken broth, stirring constantly, as you add. Cook until thickened. Stir in vegetables. Blend in chicken, being careful not to overstir. Heat on low heat for 2 hours or until hot.Recipe categories: Main dish, Whole chicken, Stew.
