Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 5 item
- vanilla - 1/2 tsp
- milk - 1 c
- baking soda - 1/2 tsp
- nuts - 1 c
- plain flour - 3 c
- light brown sugar - 1 lb
- white sugar - 1 c
- shortening 1 part butter
How to make brown sugar pound cake:
Cream butter and shortening. Add sugars and cream again. Add eggs 1 at a time to mixture. Sift dry ingredients and add alternately with milk. Add vanilla and nuts. Bake in tube pan 1 hour at 325°.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Weeknight.
