Breakfast casserole
Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 6 item
- milk - 2 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- dry mustard - 1 tsp
- paprika - 1 item
- dash of pepper - 1 item
- sharp cheddar cheese, grated - 1 c
- pound hot sausage - 1 item
- 4-6 slices whole wheat bread
- dash of cayenne pepper - 1 item
How to make breakfast casserole:
Tear up bread and place in a 13 x 9 inch pyrex dish. Brown sausage, drain well. Mash up sausage and spoon over bread; sprinkle with cheese. Beat together eggs, milk and seasonings and pour over sausage/cheese mixture. Let sit overnight in the refrigerator. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes. Serves 6.Note: Bacon or ham may be substituted for sausage.
