Bread and butter pickles

Ingredients/Components

• sugar - 5 c
• celery seed
• ice cream salt - 1/2 c
• mustard seed - 1 Tbsp
• sliced cucumbers - 4 qt
• sweet peppers, diced - 2 item
• diced medium white onions - 5 item
• clear vinegar - 3 c

How to make bread and butter pickles:

Mix together salt, cucumbers and onions. Cover with ice for 3 hours. Drain well. Mix together with remaining ingredients. Heat to a boiling point. Seal in prepared canning jars.
