Bread and butter pickles

Ingredients/Components

• sugar - 2 c
• water - 1 c
• ground cloves - 1/2 tsp
• celery seed - 1 tsp
• mustard seed - 2 tsp
• turmeric
• small white onions, sliced - 8 item
• strong vinegar - 4 c
• salt canning - 1/2 c
• green peppers, shredded optional - 2 item

How to make bread and butter pickles:

Put all ingredients together and allow to come to boiling point. Add 1 gallon sliced pickles. Again allow to come to boil. Can. (Be sure to boil as it makes them soft.)
