Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- water - 1 c
- ground cloves - 1/2 tsp
- celery seed - 1 tsp
- mustard seed - 2 tsp
- turmeric
- small white onions, sliced - 8 item
- strong vinegar - 4 c
- salt canning - 1/2 c
- green peppers, shredded optional - 2 item
How to make bread and butter pickles:
Put all ingredients together and allow to come to boiling point. Add 1 gallon sliced pickles. Again allow to come to boil. Can. (Be sure to boil as it makes them soft.)Recipe categories: American, Condiments, etc., Vegetables.
