Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- flour - 1 c
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- pinch of salt - 1 item
- egg - 1 item
- shortening - 2 Tbsp
- molasses - 3 Tbsp
- sour milk - 1 c
- raisins if desired - 1 item
- bran - 1 c
How to make bran muffins:
Cream sugar and shortening. Add egg, molasses and sour milk, which has had cup of bran soaking in it. Add dry ingredients. Bake at 375° for 20 minutes. Makes 18 medium-sized muffins.Recipe categories: Breads, Quick breads, Muffins.
