Ingredients/Components
- clove garlic, minced - 1 item
- chopped onion - 1/2 c
- chopped celery - 1/2 c
- can chicken broth - 1 oz
- olive oil - 2 Tbsp
- crushed red pepper - 1/4 tsp
- uncooked converted rice - 1 c
- kielbasa, thinly sliced - 8 oz
- cans Ranch Style brand black-eyed peas - 2 oz
How to make black-eyed peas:
In a large skillet, saute onion, celery and garlic in hot olive oil until onion is soft. Stir in remaining ingredients. Heat to a boil; reduce heat and cover tightly. Simmer 30 to 40 minutes or until liquid is absorbed.Recipe categories: Main dish, Beans, Curries.
