Beef stroganoff
Ingredients/Components
- sour cream - 1 c
- flour - 1/4 c
- butter - 1/4 c
- chopped onion - 1/2 c
- dash of pepper - 1 item
- can sliced mushrooms, drained - 1 item
- small clove garlic, minced - 1 item
- can beef consomme - 1 item
- noodles, cooked - 3 c
- round steak, sliced beef heart may be used
How to make beef stroganoff:
Cut steak into thin strips. Dust with flour and a dash of pepper. Brown meat in butter in a large skillet. Add mushrooms, onion and garlic. Brown all lightly. Stir in beef consomme. Cover and cook for 1 hour or until meat is tender. Gradually stir in sour cream; cook 5 minutes. Serve over 3 cups of cooked noodles.
