Ingredients/Components

  • flour - 2 Tbsp
  • bay leaf - 1 item
  • salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
  • tomato paste - 2 Tbsp
  • Burgundy wine - 3 c
  • thyme - 1/2 tsp
  • large carrots - 3 item
  • large onions - 2 item
  • cloves of garlic, chopped - 3 item
  • cans beef bouillon - 2 item
  • bacon, cut into pieces - 1/2 lb
  • beef, cut in small cubes - 3 lb
  • small white onions I use frozen onions - 24 item
  • fresh mushrooms, sauteed in butter or 1 large can mushrooms - 1 lb

How to make beef burgundy:

Filling: Peel and cook potatoes until soft; drain off water and mash. Add 1 (8 ounce) can sauerkraut or add 1/2 pound cheese to mashed potatoes with 1 teaspoon pepper.
