Ingredients/Components
- nutmeg - 1/4 tsp
- chopped onion - 3/4 c
- can tomato sauce - 8 oz
- can stewed tomatoes - 1 item
- ground beef - 1 lb
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- elbow macaroni - 1 c
- shredded cheese - 1 c
- Italian spices - 2 tsp
How to make beef and macaroni casserole:
Preheat oven to 425°. Cook onion in melted butter in skillet. Brown meat; add spices and tomatoes. Cook 3 minutes. Spoon cooked macaroni into baking dish. Spoon meat mixture over the macaroni, together with tomato sauce and cheese. Sprinkle with grated cheese and bake 30 minutes.Recipe categories: Main dish, Casseroles, One Dish meal.
