Ingredients/Components
- salt - 2 tsp
- water - 3 qt
- cider vinegar - 1/2 c
- lemon juice - 1 Tbsp
- light brown sugar - 1/2 c
- dry mustard - 1/2 tsp
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- Worcestershire sauce - 1/4 c
- chopped onion - 2 Tbsp
- ketchup - 1/2 c
- chili sauce - 1/2 c
- dash of cayenne pepper - 1 item
- clove garlic crushed - 1 item
- country ribs separated - 4 lb
- medium onion peeled and quartered - 1 item
How to make barbecued ribs:
Place first 5 ingredients in large kettle, bring to boil, reduce heat and simmer, covered, 1 1/2 hours or until tender.In medium saucepan combine remaining ingredients. Simmer, uncovered, for 1 hour, coat ribs with sauce and cook in hot oven until done, basting frequently. Makes a good marinade for chicken and pork chops.
