Banana split cake
Ingredients/Components
- graham cracker crumbs - 2 c
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- sifted powdered sugar - 2 c
- oleo, melted - 2/3 c
- carton Cool Whip - 1 oz
- can crushed pineapple, well drained - 1 oz
- coarsely chopped pecans - 1/2 c
- jar maraschino cherries, drained - 1 oz
- oleo or butter, melted - 3/4 c
- large or 4 medium bananas - 3 item
How to make banana split cake:
Combine oleo and cracker crumbs. Pat into bottom of a 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan. Beat eggs on high speed of an electric mixer until light (4 minutes). Add powdered sugar, softened oleo and vanilla. Beat 5 minutes. Spread over crumbs; chill 30 minutes.Spread pineapple over creamed mixture. Arrange bananas over pineapple. Cover with Cool Whip. Sprinkle with pecans. Cover. Refrigerate 6 hours or overnight. Garnish with maraschino cherries.
