Banana pudding
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- cornstarch - 1/4 c
- egg yolks - 2 item
- can water - 1 item
- can evaporated milk - 1 item
- box vanilla wafers - 1 item
- ripe bananas, sliced - 1 2
How to make banana pudding:
Mix and cook first 6 ingredients over moderate heat until thickened. Arrange layer of vanilla wafers; top with sliced banana in a deep dish. Pour a layer of pudding over top. Do another layer, saving some pudding for top.Beat egg whites with 2 to 3 tablespoons of sugar until stiff. Spread on top of pudding. Bake in 350° oven until brown. Cool completely.
