Banana nut bread
Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- eggs - 4 item
- vanilla - 2 tsp
- sour cream - 1 c
- butter or margarine - 1 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- chopped nuts - 1 c
- soda - 2 tsp
- baking powder - 2 tsp
- sifted flour
- mashed bananas - 2 c
- lemon juice - 2 tsp
How to make banana nut bread:
Cream butter and sugar; add vanilla and lemon juice. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add bananas. Sift salt, flour, soda and baking powder, add alternately with sour cream to banana mixture. Fold in nuts. Pour in 2 greased and floured loaf pans. (I put a sheet of wax paper in the bottom of pans.) Bake at 350° for 50 to 55 minutes.Recipe categories: Breads, Fruit, Yeast breads.
