- vanilla - 1 tsp
- cornstarch - 3 Tbsp
- water
- margarine - 2 Tbsp
- lemon juice - 1 item
- egg yolks, beaten - 3 item
- medium ripe bananas - 3 item
- sweetened condensed milk - 1 (14
- 9-inch baked pastry shell - 1 item
How to make banana cream pie:
Dissolve cornstarch in water; add milk and egg yolks. Cook and stir until thick and bubbly. Remove from heat; add vanilla and margarine. Cool slightly. Slice 2 bananas. Dip in lemon juice and layer in pie shell. Pour filling over bananas and cover. Chill 4 hours. Slice remaining banana and use to garnish top of pie.Recipe categories: Desserts, Pie, Pies and tarts.
