Banana cream cake



Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk - 1/4 c
- sour cream - 1 c
- chopped nuts
- nutmeg - 1/2 tsp
- soda - 1 tsp
- baking powder
- shortening - 1/2 c
- brown sugar, packed - 1/3 c
- sifted enriched flour - 2 c
- broken nuts - 1/4 c
- mashed ripe bananas - 1 c
How to make banana cream cake:
Frosting:1/2 c. chopped nuts1 c. sour cream1/3 c. brown sugar, packed1/4 c. broken nuts Stir shortening just to soften. Sift in dry ingredients. Add bananas, milk and vanilla; mix until all flour is dampened. Beat vigorously for 2 minutes. Add eggs; beat 2 minutes longer. Stir in nuts. Bake in a greased and floured pan (9 x 13-inch) at 350° for 35 to 40 minutes, or until done.Frosting: Mix the sour cream and brown sugar. Spread over warm cake in pan. Sprinkle with the nuts. Bake 5 minutes longer, or until frosting is set.
