Baked macaroni and cheese
Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 4 item
- pkg - 16 oz
- stick butter - 1 item
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- American cheese - 1/2 lb
- can evaporated milk - 1 oz
- mild Cheddar cheese - 1/2 lb
How to make baked macaroni and cheese:
Place macaroni in 4 or 5 quarts of boiling water, stirring frequently, and boil until almost tender. While water is boiling, grate cheese and put aside. Beat eggs, milk, salt and pepper and set aside.Pour macaroni into strainer and run cold tap water for about 1/2 minute. Drain, then pour macaroni into a baking dish. Add soft butter and stir until melted. Stir in egg mixture and most of cheese. Sprinkle remaining cheese on top and bake at 350° for about 30 minutes.
