Ingredients/Components
- brown sugar - 1 item
- butter - 1 item
- raisins - 1 item
- cinnamon and nutmeg - 1 item
- or 2 apples per person - 1 item
- dried, flaked coconut - 1 item
How to make baked apple:
Carefully core each apple by cutting a cone with a paring knife from top to bottom of the fruit. Arrange the apples in a single layer in a glass baking dish which has been lightly buttered and dusted with brown sugar.Put a little dab of butter in each apple core hole, followed by raisins and coconut. Sprinkle the tops of each apple with brown sugar and a little cinnamon and nutmeg. Bake at 350° for 30 to 45 minutes or until apples are done. Baste occasionally with juice to keep moist. Serve hot with a dollop of whipped cream.
