Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- pine nuts - 1/4 c
- olive oil - 1/2 c
- asparagus - 1 lb
- freshly grated Parmesan - 2 oz
- to 3 medium garlic cloves - 1 item
How to make asparagus pesto:
Steam or microwave asparagus. Drain well and dry. In a food processor, pulse pine nuts and garlic with salt until finely chopped. Add asparagus and oil and pulse until asparagus is coarsely chopped. Transfer pesto to a bowl and stir in cheese. Serve over penne or other tubular cooked pasta.Recipe categories: Sauces, Condiments, etc., Asparagus.
