Applesauce cake

Ingredients/Components

• sugar - 1 c
• cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
• soda - 2 tsp
• egg - 1 item
• shortening - 1/2 c
• nuts - 1/2 c
• raisins - 1 c
• allspice - 1/2 tsp
• cold applesauce
• flour, after sifted - 2 c

How to make applesauce cake:

Cream shortening, sugar and egg. Add soda and applesauce; mix together with sifted dry ingredients, nuts and raisins. Bake at 350° for 25 to 30 minutes. If tube pan is used, bake 1 hour.
