Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3 c
- cinnamon
- eggs - 3 item
- vanilla extract - 1 item
- salt - 1 tsp
- oil
- soda - 1 tsp
- stick butter - 1 item
- sifted flour - 3 c
- pecans - 1 c
- packed light brown sugar - 1/2 c
- large apples, chopped - 3 item
How to make apple pound cake:
Combine oil, sugar and eggs in mixer bowl. Beat at medium speed for 3 minutes. Blend in flour, salt, soda, cinnamon and 2 teaspoons vanilla. Fold in apples and pecans. Pour into greased and floured tube pan. Bake at 350° for 1 hour and 20 minutes. Cool for 20 minutes before removing from pan. Combine brown sugar, butter and 4 tablespoons vanilla in saucepan.
