Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- cinnamon - 1 item
- flour - 1 c
- brown sugar - 1 item
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- egg - 1 item
- lemon juice - 2 Tbsp
- butter, melted - 1/2 c
- salt to taste - 1 item
- nutmeg optional - 1 item
- walnuts, chopped optional - 1 item
- to 8 apples, pared and sliced - 6 item
How to make apple crunch:
Place apples in greased pan. Sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon. Sift together flour, sugar, salt and baking powder. Add egg and mix well. Add walnuts, if desired. Sprinkle crumb mixture over apples. Combine butter and lemon juice and pour over crumbs. Sprinkle with cinnamon and nutmeg.
