Zesty broccoli casserole
Ingredients/Components
- pkg - 2 oz
- flour - 2 Tbsp
- water - 1/2 c
- eggs, well beaten - 3 item
- chopped onion - 1/4 c
- grated Cheddar cheese - 1/2 c
- cracker crumbs - 1/2 c
- jar Cheez Whiz - 1 oz
- margarine, divided - 6 Tbsp
How to make zesty broccoli casserole:
Saute onion in 4 tablespoons margarine in a large heavy skillet over medium heat. Stir in flour and add water. Cook until thickened, stirring constantly. Cook broccoli according to package directions; drain well. Add broccoli and both cheeses to sauce mixture. Add well beaten eggs. Pour mixture into flat or oblong baking dish buttered with 1 tablespoon margarine. Use remaining margarine to butter cracker crumbs used for topping. Bake in a preheated 350° oven for 35 to 40 minutes. Yield: 8 servings.Recipe categories: Side dish, Casseroles, Broccoli.
