Ingredients/Components
- dry yeast - 2 pkg
- tepid water - 1 c
- melted Crisco - 1/3 c
- sugar - 1/3 c
- sifted plain flour
- egg, beaten - 1 item
- salt - 1 tsp
How to make yeast rolls:
Mix yeast and water well. Add Crisco, sugar and 1/2 of flour. Add beaten egg and salt. Add remaining flour and let rise 2 hours. Roll out and cut with biscuit cutter; place on baking sheet. Let rise 2 more hours and bake at 400° for 10 to 15 minutes. They can be cooked about 5 minutes, frozen, then finish baking when needed.Recipe categories: Breads, Low cholesterol, Low fat.
