Ingredients/Components
- self-rising flour - 5 c
- buttermilk - 1 c
- milk - 1 c
- sugar - 3 Tbsp
- Crisco - 1 c
- dry yeast, dissolved in 2 Tbsp - 1 pkg
How to make yeast rolls:
Mix all ingredients except yeast until it resembles biscuit dough. Dissolve yeast mix into 2 tablespoons hot water. Add to dough. Knead on floured surface. Put in bowl and let stand for 2 hours at room temperature. Make into rolls and bake at 400° for 8 to 10 minutes or until desired brownness.Recipe categories: Breads, Low cholesterol, Low fat.
