Ingredients/Components

  • self-rising flour - 5 c
  • buttermilk - 1 c
  • milk - 1 c
  • sugar - 3 Tbsp
  • Crisco - 1 c
  • dry yeast, dissolved in 2 Tbsp - 1 pkg

How to make yeast rolls:

Mix all ingredients except yeast until it resembles biscuit dough. Dissolve yeast mix into 2 tablespoons hot water. Add to dough. Knead on floured surface. Put in bowl and let stand for 2 hours at room temperature. Make into rolls and bake at 400° for 8 to 10 minutes or until desired brownness.
