- salt - 1 Tbsp
- brown sugar - 1/2 c
- shortening - 1/4 c
- soft butter - 1 item
- warm water - 1/2 c
- active dry yeast - 2 pkg
- Gold Medal flour wheat - 6 7
How to make whole wheat bread:
Mix together water and yeast. Add other ingredients. Knead for 10 minutes. Shape, cover and let rise 1 hour in a warm place in a well-greased bowl. Punch down; place in greased loaf pan. Let rise 1 hour and bake 40 to 50 minutes at 375°.Recipe categories: Breads, Low cholesterol, Yeast breads.
