Whole wheat banana bread
Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla extract - 1/2 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- vegetable oil - 1/4 c
- chopped walnuts - 1 c
- lemon juice - 1 Tbsp
- honey - 1/2 c
- whole wheat flour - 2 c
- wheat germ - 1 Tbsp
- cut up ripe bananas - 2 c
How to make whole wheat banana bread:
Measure flour, wheat germ, baking soda and salt into large bowl. Stir to blend. In bowl of food processor, combine eggs, bananas, honey, vegetable oil, lemon juice and vanilla until well blended. Pour over flour mixture. Add walnuts. Stir with rubber spatula until blended. Pour into a greased and floured 8 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan. Bake at 350° until sides pull away from pan and pick inserted in center comes out clean, 45 to 55 minutes.
