Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- milk - 1/4 c
- sour cream - 1/2 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- chopped nuts - 1 c
- flour - 2 c
- water - 1 c
- eggs, beaten - 2 item
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- oleo - 1 c
- 10x sugar
- vanilla or almond extract - 1/2 tsp
- almond extract or vanilla - 1 tsp
How to make white texas sheet cake:
Frosting:1/2 c. oleo1/4 c. milk4 1/2 c. 10x sugar1/2 tsp. vanilla or almond extract1 c. chopped nuts In a large saucepan, bring oleo and water to a boil. Remove from heat and stir in flour, sugar, eggs, sour cream, extract or vanilla, salt and baking soda until smooth. Pour into a greased 15 x 10 x 1-inch baking pan. Bake at 375° for 20 to 25 minutes.Meanwhile for frosting, combine oleo and milk. Bring to a boil. Remove from heat and add sugar and extract or vanilla; mix well. Stir in chopped nuts. Spread over warm cake. Serves 16 to 20.
