Ingredients/Components

  • salt - 3/4 tsp
  • light cream - 1 c
  • egg, beaten - 1 item
  • clove garlic, minced - 1 item
  • chopped onion - 3/4 c
  • chopped celery - 1 c
  • ground beef - 1 lb
  • oregano - 1 tsp
  • basil - 2 tsp
  • Mozzarella cheese - 12 oz
  • carton cottage cheese - 1 oz
  • Cheddar cheese
  • cream cheese, cubed - 1 (3
  • dry wine - 1/2 c
  • lasagna noodles, uncooked - 8 oz
  • Gouda cheese

How to make white lasagna:

Cook ground beef, onions, celery and garlic. Stir in basil, oregano, salt and dash of pepper. Add cream and cream cheese. Cook over low heat until cheese melts. Stir in wine. Gradually add Gouda and Cheddar cheese. Stir until melted.

In another bowl, mix cottage cheese and egg.

Layer 1/2 noodles, 1/2 meat mixture, 1/2 cheese mixture, 1/2 cottage cheese and 1/2 Mozzarella. Repeat layers. Let stand overnight in refrigerator. Bake, uncovered, at 375° for 30 to 35 minutes. Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
