Ingredients/Components

  • pkg - 1 oz
  • salt - 3/4 tsp
  • light cream - 1 c
  • chopped onion - 3/4 c
  • chopped celery - 1 c
  • dry white wine - 1/2 c
  • shredded Cheddar cheese - 2 c
  • oregano - 1 tsp
  • basil - 2 tsp
  • Mozzarella cheese - 12 oz
  • carton cottage cheese - 1 oz
  • lasagna noodles - 8 oz
  • minced garlic clove - 1 item
  • slightly beaten egg - 1 item
  • Italian seasonings - 1/2 tsp
  • shredded Gouda cheese
  • Italian sausage, remove casing - 1 lb

How to make white lasagna:

In a large saucepan, cook noodles, drain and set aside. In a skillet, cook meats, celery, onion and garlic until meat is browned and vegetables tender. Drain off fat. Stir in spices; add cream and cream cheese. Cook and stir until melts. Stir in wine. Gradually add cheeses, stirring until melted; remove from heat. Combine cottage cheese and egg. Layer noodles, meat, melted cheeses and cottage cheese mixture. Cook 30 to 40 minutes at 375°. Serves 6 to 8 people.
