White lasagna
Ingredients/Components
- ground sirloin - 1 lb
- clove garlic, minced - 1 item
- minced onion - 3/4 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- pepper - 1/8 tsp
- lasagna noodles, cooked - 1/2 lb
- Cream Sauce - 1 item
- cottage cheese full fat - 1 lb
- grated fresh Parmesan cheese - 3/4 c
- Mozzarella cheese slices - 1/2 lb
- flour
- milk
- salt and pepper - 1 item
How to make white lasagna:
Cream Sauce:1/2 c. flour2 1/2 c. milk salt and pepper Cook Cream Sauce slow, stirring until thick.Cook meat in skillet 4 minutes; add next 4 ingredients. Cook until onion is tender; don't brown.
Assemble: Spread small amount of Cream Sauce in a 13 x 8-inch pan. Add remaining sauce to meat mixture. Place noodles over sauce in dish; spread with meat mixture. Dot with 1/3 of cottage cheese, 1/3 of Parmesan and top with a few slices of Mozzarella; repeat 3 times. Bake at 350° for 40 minutes. Top with parsley and minced basil, if desired. Serves 4.
