  • eggs - 6 item
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • milk - 3/4 c
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • evaporated milk - 2/3 c
  • baking powder - 1/2 tsp
  • shortening - 1 c
  • plain flour - 3 c
  • margarine - 1/2 c
  • hot water - 1/4 c
  • white chocolate - 1/4 lb

How to make white chocolate pound cake:

Icing:1 lb. white chocolate2 c. sugar1/2 c. margarine2/3 c. evaporated milk1 tsp. vanilla Over low heat, melt chocolate in water and cool. Cream sugar and shortening until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time. Add cooled chocolate. Sift dry ingredients. Add milk, vanilla and dry ingredients, alternately. Pour into greased and floured tube pan. Bake at 350° for 1 1/4 hours.

Icing: Mix evaporated milk, white chocolate and sugar in saucepan. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until it begins to boil. Boil two minutes without stirring; cool. Add vanilla and margarine and beat until creamy.
