White chocolate pound cake
Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- eggs - 6 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk - 3/4 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- evaporated milk - 2/3 c
- baking powder - 1/2 tsp
- shortening - 1 c
- plain flour - 3 c
- margarine - 1/2 c
- hot water - 1/4 c
- white chocolate - 1/4 lb
How to make white chocolate pound cake:
Icing:1 lb. white chocolate2 c. sugar1/2 c. margarine2/3 c. evaporated milk1 tsp. vanilla Over low heat, melt chocolate in water and cool. Cream sugar and shortening until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time. Add cooled chocolate. Sift dry ingredients. Add milk, vanilla and dry ingredients, alternately. Pour into greased and floured tube pan. Bake at 350° for 1 1/4 hours.Icing: Mix evaporated milk, white chocolate and sugar in saucepan. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until it begins to boil. Boil two minutes without stirring; cool. Add vanilla and margarine and beat until creamy.
