White chocolate cake
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- eggs - 4 item
- vanilla
- chopped pecans - 1 c
- milk - 1 c
- flour
- stick margarine - 1 item
- buttermilk - 1 c
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- shortening - 1/2 c
- margarine, softened - 1 c
- dash of salt - 1 item
- white chocolate
- white chocolate, melted - 1/4 lb
How to make white chocolate cake:
Frosting:3/4 c. white chocolate2 1/2 Tbsp. flour1 c. milk1 c. margarine, softened1 c. sugar1 1/2 tsp. vanilla Sift together first 3 ingredients; set aside. Cream together shortening, margarine, sugar and chocolate. Beat in eggs, 1 at a time. Add vanilla. Blend in flour mixture alternately with buttermilk. Stir in nuts. Pour into 2 greased and floured 9-inch cake pans. Bake at 350° for 40 minutes. Cool 10 minutes before removing from pans. Cool thoroughly, then frost.Frosting: In medium saucepan, combine chocolate and flour; blend in milk. Cook, stirring constantly, until very thick. Cool completely. In large bowl, cream the margarine, sugar and vanilla; beat until fluffy. Add chocolate mixture and beat at high speed until spreading consistency.
